Problem of optimal placement of the software to multimachine computer complex

The need to control a large number of objects of the environment required creating complex radars for their detection and tracking. The information processing systems have a basis on computing machines. Software placement problem arises when volume of computing exceed the capacity of a machine having multiple processors working on a common memory, i.e., there is a need to use multiple machines, interconnected data channels. The problem of optimal placement of software is find such a placement of functional components on multiple computers, for which the overhead data transfer between the components are reduced to a minimum, in condition that all components have sufficient time for execute on the computers on which they are placed. This paper presents a mathematical description of a set of permissible placements of software, the optimality criterion and the mathematical formulation of the optimization problem of placement.
