Ways to improve the quality of service areas coverage in professional mobile radio systems

The article describes solutions for improving the quality of coverage of service areas in the professional mobile radio systems. The basic types of local areas that are characterized by a low-level received signals, including local field shading caused by topography, and areas of localized inside the shielding structures, are discussed. Considered: active repeaters on the basis of dipole antennas used for radio communications within the local areas of shading that are remote from the radio center and within a compact shielding structures; active repeaters on the basis of radio-emitting cable used for radio communications within the extended shielding structures; passive repeaters provide radio communication at a relatively short distance from the radio center – type «obstacle» (for long areas of shading) and slow wire structures (for wide areas). Considered design options described types of repeaters, the planning of routes, deployment options and key features. It is shown that the developed solutions in the field of repeating allows you to provide a considerable improvement in the quality of coverage in the presence in the service area of professional mobile radio systems areas of different shading types, genesis and geo-metry.
