Reception «on the whole» for MIMO-system in channel with memory

The article deals with the operation of the 2×2 MIMO configuration in memory channel using such different signal processing algorithms aimed for working in conditions of inter-symbol interference as Zero Forcing algorithm, Minimum Mean Square Error algorithm, Maximum Likelihood algorithm and the algorithm called «receiving as a whole with element-wise decision making». This algorithm is heuristic, but it is shown in the article that it arises logically from the problem solving of receiving the size-limited symbol block on the minimum criterion of error probability for the block. The main point of the algorithm is the fact that the receiving «as a whole» is carried out on a range of memory channel, but the decision is made only about the symbol at the first position of the interval, because it is the source of taking into consideration the dispersion energy from the dispersed interval. A distinctive feature of this algorithm is the «feedback on decision making», which core is in the fact that when the decision about the first symbol on the current interval is made, the consequence from it can be compensated by the transfer to the next interval. The article gives a detailed analysis of embedding the given algorithm for the MIMO system. The comparative statistical modeling has been carried out to confirm the algorithm competitive ability. The result of the modeling shows the telling arguments for expediency of this algorithm.
