The effect of low-frequency alternating magnetic field upon self-oscillating BR reaction characteristics is studied in this paper. For understanding the mechanism of action of alternating magnetic fields on solutions there should be chosen systems which are most sensitive to slightest external excitations of chemical processes taking place in them. In the capacity of such systems oscillating chemical reactions taking place when certain chemical agents are mixed in water can be used. In particular, Briggs-Rauscher reaction (BR) belongs to these reactions. The research of AMF effect on this reaction path could open up capabilities to control this reaction on the one hand and become a key to explanation of magnetic field influence on biological systems on the other. Time of oscillation, reaction total time and electrochemical potential value parameters were chosen for investigation. It was deduced from experiments that the preliminary exposure of BR reaction components to low-frequency AMF have a significant influence on its self-oscillation mode virtually across all the 1—14 Hz AMF frequency range the decrease of both mean time of oscillation and total time of BR self-oscillation reaction.
