On-board oxygen supply systems: a friction model for compressed gas pressure regulator

This study describes a friction model for a gas regulator. This model embraces such friction parameters as static dry friction, kinetic dry friction and the viscous friction ratio and offers an experimental method to obtain friction parameters using a rela-tively simple test-bench designed for that purpose. The method in question proves that not only is this simple and reliable fric-tion model valid, but also that it can be effective if applied to any other system.
