The model structure of the temperature series in the arctic region on the basis of the harmonic analysis

The aim of this work was to improve the quality of hydrometeorological support consumers in difficult climatic conditions of the Arctic region by identifying the internal structure of the time series of surface air temperature to account for them in prognostic schemes and climate models. The achievement of this goal is implemented by the statistical approach to the study of time series of surface air temperature using the methods of harmonic analysis with the discrete Fourier transform. As the source of information gridded data reanalysis of atmospheric parameters NCEP/DOE AMIP-II of 1979−2011 year period were used. Values of air temperature in knots of the latitudinal-longitudinal grid by permission 2,5o at the level of 1000 hPa in terms of 00, 06, 12, 18 hour (world coordinated time) were considered. For certain areas of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in January significant harmonic components of the temperature series are revealed. The obtained simulation results can be used in hydro-meteorological support to various consumers in long-term plan-ning activities in the Arctic region.
