The article investigated the problem classification of small-sized and large-sized air objects based on analysis of the fine structure of the basic characteristics of the Doppler echo from the body due to the scattering of the moving object. As a sign of classification chosen unbiased estimate of the normalized Doppler frequency shift. Suggested classification decision rule, based on checking on the criterion of minimum average risk hypothesis that there is large-sized object against a simple alternative that present small-sized object. Was performed experimental verification of the decision rule for classification airliner A320 and small-sized aircraft type object, which confirmed the feasibility of the classification decision rule for small sizes sample.
