The influence of the resistance lamellar resistor on uniformity of the weakening coaxial attenuator

The main electrodinamic by structure for making broadband coaxial attenuator is round waveguide, diametrically cut dielectric by plate with inflicted on both her(its) surfaces fine (thicknesses skin-layer less) resistor film. Fading their is defined two factors: absorption in film and partial limit waveguide (since at presence of the film exists spreading to energy). The calculation of the dispersion features of considered structures is represented. The dependencies phase constant and factor of the fading from frequency have a regularities: under investigation wave has not a critical frequency, is absent the horse race phase constant and factor of the fading when turning through frequency, corresponding to critical frequency flap waveguide. At approach to critical frequency fading to account limit waveguide decreases and on frequency above critical remains only absorption in film. Unevenness of the fading within the range of possible adjust the parameter of the film and dielectric constant by permeability of the substrate. The experimental studies confirm that values of the specific surface resistance resistor films in the range of 90…110 Ohm/□ are optimum for ensuring greatly even weakening attenuator and achievements best coordination attenuator with external coaxial tract in broad range of the frequencies. They are brought technical features domestic coaxial attenuator, working within the range of from direct current before 50 GHz.
