Improved output parameters of multi-beam compact amplifier pulse klystron of Ku-band wavelengths

As a result of numerical calculations is proposed and implemented in the design of multi-beam klystron Ku-band modified output resonant system that includes the associated output and coupled active resonators and a passive resonator, made in the waveguide output energy. Experiments have shown that the use of this system associated inphase and antiphase oscillations allows to increase the bandwidth in the 1.8…2 times compared with conventional design, the output resonant system, which is made on single-gap resonator. The maximum peak power of 1.4 kW was obtained during the experiment at a current of 0.8 A cathode and accelerating voltage. 3,4 kV with efficiency 43%.
