Synchronization and switching device is the central unit to ensuring the correct and reliable operation of the radar complex. In operation the software synchronization and switching devices of the radar. The purposes of synchronization and switching device are:
formation of single timestamp which is synchronized with the time stamps of the flight and navigation and the micro-navigation systems according to the established priority. If there is no established priority single timestamp formation is carried out from internal generator.
time synchronization between units which is realized with NTP-server;
navigational data exchanging between flight and navigation system of the aircraft and radar complex subsystems;
rotating radome angular position reading from sensor, correction and transmitting to a radar subsystem complex with serial electrical and optical interfaces.
These purposes are achieved with using embedded software.
Thus, the main tasks of software development are:
embedded software development which is necessary for unit communication with Sentinel radar equipment, micro-navigation system, flight control and navigation system of aircraft, the angular position of antenna sensor and the on-board information and control system. Embedded software runs on the ARM architecture processor;
development of the functional programs complex that provides informational and logical interaction with device embedded software as well as complexes of logging and storage of data functional programs;
development of the special testing software which is necessary for the autonomous embedded software testing and for hardware synchronization and switching device.
