High-resolution geocoded image synthesis with taking into account the whole set of perturbation factors in Spotlight Mode in airborne and spaceborne SAR

New high-precision algorithm of sub-meter resolution SAR image synthesis in Spotlight mode is considered. This algorithm is being very close quasi-classic approximation of well known very exact and very slow Back Projection Algorithm (BPA). The new algorithm is considerably (200…500 times) faster then BPA. The algorithm takes in account the whole set of perturbation factors – cur-rent ballistic data and look parameters in high orders, ray aiming error and ray diagram form, scene relief – according to the digital Earth map, quasi-classic hologram spectrum calculation method non-exactness. The output image is being written in horizontal scene coordinates – not in traditional along-way slant coordinates azimuth and range. So the SAR image geo-coding procedure is not necessary. This algorithm is appropriate both for the spaceborne and the airborne SAR.
