Nanostructured anti-reflection coatings based on amorphous silica for silica glass and solar cells

Dense and porous anti-reflection coatings based on fractal and spherical silica nanoparticles, respectively, were fabricated on silica glass by dip-coating process. The dense coating increases silica glass transmission by 2,5 – 3,5 % at selected wavelength and the substrate bending strength by 25 %. The porous coating increases silica glass transmission by 6,0–7,0 % at selected wavelength.
