Satellite communications system one of the fastest growing areas of the space industry, not only in Russia but also worldwide. The development of higher frequency bands, to increase the capacity of satellites allows you to transfer all the large amounts of information. One of the most important areas in the modernization of satellite systems is to improve the antenna systems of spacecraft. It is through antennas provide coverage area requirement. As a rule, the service area observed with any point of standing in the geostationary orbit has a complex shape that you want to save in demanding conditions throughout the term of active existence satellite - from 10 to 15 years. Design antenna that meets this requirement is not an easy task. In some cases, the requirements become more complex possibility of changing the service area directly while using satellites in geostationary orbit. One solution to this problem is to use antenna with mechanically reconfigurable reflector surface.
