Reflection of TE-polarization electromagnetic waves from the model of a random inhomogeneous Epstein layer

This work is devoted to the numerical calculations of the reflection coefficient from the model of inhomogeneous Epstein layer. On the basis of spectral apparatus of orthogonal expansions of random functions we consider the problem of modeling a randomly inhomogeneous component of the relative permittivity stratified environment. The method of expansion is chosen under the assumption that the random field fluctuations has normal distribution and stationary; the form of the autocorrelation function and the period of expansion are proposed. The paper presents calculations of the expectation and variance of the reflection coefficient of the Epstein layer.
