Influence of the lower bound of the ionosphere on penetration of the field of the horizontal in-phase wire deep into ground

The exact analytical solution of a task on a radiation field of the horizontal and infinitely extended inphase wire located in air at some height over a terrestrial surface is considered in the article. Novelty of work is that influence of the E-layer ionosphere which reflects VLF waves has been taken into account. It is shown that the accounting of the E-layer leads to essential weakening of a field on the earth surface.
