In the article problems of mathematical modeling of direction-finding characteristic of radar seekers are considered.
The choice of optimum parameters and characteristics of seekers is almost impossible without creation of imitating and mathematical models of process of direction-finding to moving target. Such models have to consist of several interconnected models of processes and devices related to modern system of direction-finding.
In article the mathematical model developed by authors consisting of model of the direction-finding characteristic (with parameters of real system: steepness in linear zone, speed of tracking and width of a field of vision), model of angular movement of speed vector of the carrier and model of kinematic unit which are caused by choice of method of direction-finding (the method of proportional navigation is used).
The developed model allows to choose parameters of seeker: gains of separate blocks, navigation constant, constant of time and coefficient of damping of oscillatory unit and to receive as a result of calculations such characteristics, as cross overloads of the missile, error of tracking on direction-finding track, value of final miss, type of trajectory under various starting conditions.
With use of the developed model the analysis of dynamics of seeker with capture of target on a trajectory is carried out and tracking parameters are calculated at various errors of targeting. The scheme of mathematical model of the carrier with seeker which is self-directs by method of proportional navigation in the terms of SIMULINK and results of calculations are provided.
