Recently in developed countries there is an interest to visualization of peripheral blood vessels, including veins. Developing such devices can improve the quality of care, because the localization of peripheral blood vessels directly part during minimally invasive procedures. The paper presents the theoretical and experimental studies, reflecting the possibility of impedance method of peripheral blood vessels localization. For experimental studies was developed laboratory stand, which is a homogeneous structure with an immersed vessel. Electro physical parameters of homogeneous structure and vessel matched soft tissue and blood. Measurements of electrical impedance were conducted by mounting an electrode system consisting of the current and voltage electrodes. The electrode system was located on the surface of the study area, between the current electrodes an alternating current with a frequency of 100 kHz and a force of 1 mA. From the measured values of the electrical impedance were plotted the apparent resistivity values as profiles to identify the localization of veins. To estimate the contribution of veins in soft tissues was proposed a mathematical model that can calculate the anomalous resistance of infinite cylinder (vessel) in homogenous half space. Studies have shown the minimum value of electrical impedance in the region of the c vessel, which will enable its localization. During the experiments it was found that the calculation of the mathematical model is comparable with the measured values on the device.
