Modification of polymers and biocomposites structure under the influence of ultrasound and magnetic field

The work discusses the qualitative nanoscale of physical processes that occurs in the natural biocomposite – wood when exposed to ultrasound and pulsed magnetic field. It is shown that the absorption of ultrasound in the wood lignin plasticization may occur, which enables the subsequent sealing triangular sample without its destruction. It is considered the mechanism of additional reinforcement of densified wood samples that were exposed to weak (induction with amplitude of less than 0,5 Тл) pulsed magnetic fields. It is shown the possibility of formation of macromolecules between the wood cellulose cross-linking in case whilst the compaction process it is breaking the link between the hydroxyl groups and the carbon atoms to form radicals which capable under the influence of pulsed magnetic field to change their spin state with subsequent recombination. We estimate the probability of such a recombination to form a bond of C-O-C.
