Methods for preliminary analysis of electromagnetic compatibility for unified electronic module of the spacecraft

In this paper, a basic principles of the developed methods for preliminary analysis of electromagnetic compatibility for unified electronic module of the spacecraft is described. The preliminary analysis is qualitative analysis for unified electronic module of the spacecraft without any estimation, simulation or measurement. The methods consists of the identification and reduction of the area of current flow paths, decoupling through common impedance, identification of voltage and current controlled sources; control of package resonances, influence of the signals on input and output, control of parasitic parameters of components leads tracing, power/ground circuit; crosstalk in interconnects; distribution of connector contacts. Several circuit examples and recommendations for them are presented to demonstrate the proposed methods.
