Great attention to narrowband technology PLC is growing thanks to its use in smart grids. PLC also used in intelligent systems of generation, namely, inverters for solar panels. Broadband PLC-link is used in solutions of the problem of the last mile for Ethernet networks. Because this type of connection provides high speed data transfer and does not require any additional cables, this connection is the most popular for all kinds of household applications, as evidenced by several recent acquisitions of the respective companies in the segment of home networks. So, for example, Atheros acquired Intellon; Sigma – Coppergate; Marvell – DS2, and Broadcom – company Gigle. There is another method of classification PLC communication: AC adaptor (AC-PLC); DC-PLC). Most of the companies working on the market of solutions AC-PLC, but is actively developing and direction PLC-DC. Two such applications include PLC-connection via DC-bus in distributed systems, energy generation and PLC in transport (electronic control in airplanes, cars, and trains). The technology applying allows to avoid complicated installation, save costs in the cost of communication systems in dozens of times.
