This article discusses the methods of determining the relationship between lidar aerosol optical parameters. A detailed analysis of the accuracy of the proposed methods is carried out. Interpretation of the results of lidar sensing based on solving the lidar equation which relates the power backscattered signal with attenuation and backscatter. A rigorous solution of the lidar equation includes a procedure characterized by differentiation and in some cases unacceptably large random error, which is to reduce the integral methods developed multiposition lidar sensing of the atmosphere. These methods include the integration of lidar signals received mainly sensing and additional directions. They integrated solutions relate the attenuation coefficients determined with backscatter coefficients. This requires a consideration of significant variations in relations between the optical parameters. Thus, the article shows that the methods of determining the rate constant of the lidar ratio in the power linking the attenuation coefficients and backscatter at preset parameters may be more accurate than the methods for determining the optical thickness.
