In the last decade the important task is assigned to protect Onboard Digital Computer Systems (ODCS) from destructive impact of ultrashort electromagnetic pulses (UEP) with completely new characteristics which the traditional sources of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) are lacking: proportionality of actuating pulse duration time and informational signals duration. It results in comparability of EMR inductive interference with information signals level. In its turn it leads to increased possibility of corruption for processing information circulated in ODCS, including failures in communication channels, data losses in onboard data networks, and entire control and monitoring system failures. In this respect the article considers the design principles for perspective onboard digital computer control systems based on highly integrated modular onboard data processing devices with embedded high-speed network interfaces, to provide brand new features and characteristics (reliability, sustainability, extra performance and capability). Destructive electromagnetic impact on data transmission channels of modern ODCS is analyzed, since the said channels provide the required characteristics and dynamical modification of ODCS architecture in the whole at destructive electromagnetic radiation exposure. The integral analysis results for the required characteristics of the modern ODSC are provided. Based on the results the conclusion can be drawn that at exposing to ultrashort electromagnetic pulses the most critical subsystem is data exchange system. It was demonstrated that at simulation of UEP destructive impact on ODCS data communication and control channels the results of the analysis of LAN elements exposure to UEP can be used.
