At the moment there are a lot of automated measuring systems. For example, take the measurement system from the company Diamond Engineering 6000 series. This complex is designed for measurements up to 18 GHz allows for measurement on an azimuth of 360 degrees, elevation ±45 degrees. Measuring step in azimuth of 0.625 degrees in elevation – 0.10 degrees. In one minute a complex can turn on an azimuth of 120 degrees. The price of such a complex is 15000 USD.
The cost of a rotary positioning system WiNRADiO WR-ARP-ELAZ-100 is 50,000 rubles. This device allows for measurement in azimuth 360 degrees, elevation – 180 degrees. However, the measuring step in azimuth and elevation of the system is 1 degree. Since the frequency range measured systems from 1 to 4 GHz, and the geometric dimensions of the aperture measurement antennas do not exceed 500 mm, the width of the diagram of the measured antenna is at least 10 degrees. Therefore, measuring step in azimuth and elevation angle of 1 degree is sufficient. Given the fact that the cost of measuring complex Diamond Engineering 6000 series is 9 times higher than that of the rotary positioning system WiNRADiO WR-ARP-ELAZ-100, is it desirable to supplement positioning system WiNRADiO WR-ARP-ELAZ-100 specialized software. Such software "Tamic Obl" was written on C++ programming environment Microsoft Visual Studio, to realize the automatic measurement system. This complex provided the necessary accuracy and economy of means. It is expedient to use a similar complex in laboratory work at the university and in the conduct of the acceptance works, developmental testing laboratory, small directed antennas, feeders and modules active phased arrays in the enterprise.
