Using of dielectrics for forming of pattern of leaky wave antennas based on perfectly conducting cylinder

Basic relations determining the radiation characteristics of leaky wave antennas, in the form of a circular cylinder with a longitudinal slot are considered. Internal and covered volumes of cylinder are filled with a dielectric, with different electrodynamics characteristics. Investigations of the influence of dielectrics parameters in the outer layer and the interior of the antenna to the directional characteristics are performed.
