Modern achievements in the field of photon technologies of the radio signals processing, using effects of spectral hole burning and photon echo

Keywords:

O.A. Golosovskiy, V.V. Rozdobudko

The review of world achievements of spectral hole burning and photon echo technology in the field of spectrometry and functional processors of radio signals is given. Various architecture of devices are considered. It is shown perspectivity of development of this technology combining tens a gigahertz of instantaneous bandwidth with sub-MHz resolution, functional flexibility and low power consumption. The unique advantage allowing operatively to change algorithms of processing, quality which still was inherent in only digital processors is noted. The main problems lying on a way of its practical introduction are listed. However, these problems aren't insuperable that proves to be true already created laboratory samples of devices showing above-mentioned advantages.
