Genes expression variation determing cell homeostasis in Down syndrome patients

The cells of Down syndrome (DS) patients can be considered as a model to study predisposition to oncogenesis (leucosis), as the number of latter is 15 times higher versus common population level. The expression of such genes as tumor-supressors; protooncogenes; oxidative stress and heat shock stresses was used as a marker of this pathology development. 31 patients with DS and 40 healthy donors were observed in this study.
