The influence of reflected waves and spurious oscillation modes on M-type amplifier characteristics

This work is devoted to the development of mathematical simulation method of electron-wave processes in cylindrical amplifiers with crossed fields and reentrant electron flow. Reflections of high-frequency waves from devices' input and output, spurious oscillation modes and their competition with dominant mode of oscillations along with operating mode are considered in the model unlike to known models. Different M-type amplifiers are analysed including self-oscillations and dominant mode of oscillations competition with the developed model and the computer software based of this model. Calculation has shown that the anode current operating region in which the signal is amplified is condensed as a result of self-oscillation excitation and its competition with an operating signal.
