Synthesis of algorithms for tracking parameters of the direct and the reflected signals received at two spatially separated points is presented. The expressions for the discriminating characteristics were obtained, simulations were carried out.
The resulting algorithms are used to compensate for errors of the relative phase measurements, which caused by multipath propagation of signals.
Under certain combinations of the difference of the beams of reflected and direct signals, malfunction of the synthesized algorithms is possible. If algorithm found this combination of parameters, it should temporarily abandon the multipath's error compensation.
Simulation showed the sensitivity of algorithms to the specification's error of amplitude's ratio of direct and reflected signals. This fact significantly limits the practical application of the algorithms, and sets the direction for further research.
