Correlation and spectral characteristics radar-tracking phase manipulated signal with smooth change of the phase

Considered characteristics of the phase manipulated (PM) radar signal with smooth change of a phase on code of Barker. Analytical expressions for function of uncertainty and spectral density of a signal are received. Comparison of the received characteristics with characteristics of a PM signal with spasmodic change of a phase is spent. Calculations of sections along axes of time of a delay and a frequency axis are carried out. It is shown that smooth change of a phase leads to increase in level of lateral petals of spectral density of a signal which depends on duration of the time interval, corresponding to smooth phase change. The received results show that for PM signals with smooth change of a phase between elementary impulses, the behavior of function of uncertainty in its main section along an axis of time of a delay practically doesn't differ from behavior of function of uncertainty PM of a signal with spasmodic change of a phase. In spectral area smooth change of a phase in PM a signal leads to increase in width of the main petal and maximum levels of the first pair lateral petals of spectral density of a signal. The revealed features correlation and spectral characteristics PM of signals with smooth change of a phase are necessary for construction of system of processing of these signals at their use in radar-tracking systems.
