Pulse interval jitter of electrooptically fast Q-switching diode-pumped solid-state laser has been investigated. Pockels and Kerr cells are studied as active modulators. Analytical expressions are obtained for pulse interval jitter being due to diode-pump power and lasing threshold fluctuations. Q-switching time of the resonator is equal to discharge time of the electrooptical cell. It is shown that pulse interval jitter is proportional to Q-switching time and it is reducing when pumped power is increasing. The obtained analytical expressions for the pulse interval jitter facilitate the practical estimations and optimization of the laser operation mode.
